These family portraits make me so happy! I love being a family photographer!  Ft DeSoto is one of my most favorite locations. This was the beach we mostly visited when I was a child and it’s still my favorite in the area. I had never visited the actual fort, only the beach, until a few years ago. It is a perfect spot – great light, awesome backdrop, but not overly distracting. We did these portraits on a Saturday evening and it was my 4th photo gig of the day. What a great way to end the day!

This family. WOW! This family was so relaxed and sweet and fun! Do they not have the kindest looking faces? I was so impressed with the girls!  They were so verbal, inquisitive, and thoughtful. Super smart kids!  The dad in this family is a Colonel stationed at MacDill Air Force Base, and so, as such is pretty much a hero. I didn’t know at the time just how important he was or I would have saluted! 😉  Great family!  Great location!  Great night!
