Wondering where to do your portraits? There are many great locations in the Tampa, St Petersburg, and Clearwater areas!
A good starting point is to ask yourself if you want beach, park, or city/urban. Listed below are some of my favorites in each of those categories. Happy browsing!

Ft DeSoto Beach Park

INFO: I usually start by the fort which has fantastic light and provides an interesting textured background. There’s also a tall stair case, a great rock jetty, beautiful sea grasses, and even some old fort ruins in the water. Lots of uniqueness and great variety! Madeira Beach

INFO: From Indian Rocks to St Pete Beach there are beautiful beaches. There’s a wooden pier near Madeira Beach but often the best location may be whichever is most conveniently located to where you may be staying.
Cypress Point Park Beach
ADDRESS: 5620 W Cypress St, Tampa, FL 33607
INFO: This beach is in Tampa so it’s a great option for Tampa residents who don’t want to drive far to a beach. There are nice pathways, rocks retaining wall, unique trees, and great views of Tampa Bay. https://thatsaprettypicture.com/?p=9891. This spot is especially beautiful at sunrise!!!

URBAN/CITY LOCATIONS
ADDRESS: 401 W Kennedy Blvd, Tampa, FL 33606

Curtis Hixon Park
ADDRESS: 600 N Ashley Dr, Tampa, FL 33602
INFO: This has a little bit of everything – park, waterfront, cityscape, and neutral background. I love the light around the Tampa Museum of Art. The exterior of the building is a blue/white glass that is a perfect, blank background. There’s a large field with great hedges which allow for a park-like setting. Ashley street is also very close and some clients love the street pictures. Tampa Theatre is also withing walking distance, and the Hillsborough River. There’s also fountains, alleyways, brick walls, brick-lined streets, and the old courthouse in the area. The options are endless and no two sessions look the same at this location.
